What is a Month of Coordinator?

Have you ever heard the term, ‘a glowing bride’? This isn’t something to be underestimated. In fact, studies have shown that smiling and laughing not only works the facial muscles, but resultingly improves blood circulation to the skin, ultimately delivering more nutrients and oxygen to the skin. These factors can lead to an increase in collagen and new cell formation that gives skin a ‘glowing’ effect. The building of collagen has lasting effects, aiding to avoid ageing and providing a younger, healthier look to the skin. Furthermore, smiling uses the brain’s reward mechanism which ultimately stimulates endorphins and serotonin – both chemicals in your body that make you feel happy!   

There is nothing more rewarding then witnessing the beautiful smiles of a blushing bride and a proud husband. Some brides prefer to spend years planning their wedding, and others need assistance meeting a tight timeline. Depending on the package of your choice, Epoch Events will work with you for months or even years in advance to plan and structure your event. We’re centered around the logistics of a successful event, from vendor referrals and contract negotiation, to site plans and vision boards. We make planning your event as seamless as possible. We’re the ones who keep track of who’s doing what, when and how. Making sure each individual has what is needed to do their job, what it will cost and pivoting with adjustments and changes as needed.

If you’ve already identified some of your ideas and event concept, but are in search of help, let us assist in identifying what our accommodations best fit. You may be familiar with the term, ‘day-of-coordinator'. At Epoch Events, we’re committed to effective and organized event planning. We’re dedicated to managing special celebrations, and from our experience, to successfully do this, showing up the ‘day-of’ isn’t enough.  

We value rapport and relationship. We want to know YOU and we need the prior knowledge of your event’s vision and purpose. Which is why we require a minimum of one month to dive in, review the planning that has taken place, identifying and rectifying any holes in the planning, and gracefully accept the ‘passing of the baton’ to us so we can successfully cross the finish line for your celebration.  

Rather than do any original planning, our Month of Coordinating package accepts the responsibility for ensuring the vision and scheme are executed properly. We’ll identify any discrepancies in the original plans, addressing items or tasks that may have been forgotten. And while we may not make the seating plan, we will make sure that your caterer has the correct menu selections and final guest count. We confirm the final pieces, things such as the easels and frames for your signage, aren’t forgotten and that the place cards are numbered correctly and placed in the proper spot as per your vision.  

Day of the event, we’re on-site to coordinate the primary points of contact, overseeing vendors’ work, and holding them accountable to the contracts agreed upon. We are the 'maestro of the orchestra’ and primary point of contact and communications. We address logistical items, unexpected situations and questions in general that may arise.
